Curriculum Pages
At St. Andrew's students follow a broad and balanced curriculum, tailored to their needs.
In years 7–9, Key Stage 3, students study:
Religious Education, Art, Design & Technology, Drama, English, French, Geography, History, ICT, Mathematics, Music, PSHE, PE, Science and Study Skills.
Latin and Spanish are optional subjects in Key Stage 3.
In years 10 and 11, Key Stage 4, all students study:
Religious Education, English, ICT, Mathematics, PSHE, PE and Science (double award or three separate Science GCSEs). Most study a Modern Foreign Language (French and Spanish).
In addition, students may opt for two of the following:
Art, Child Development, Dance, Drama, Food Technology, Geography, History, Further ICT, Latin, Music, Product Design, Sports Studies or a Vocational Qualification.
All students follow a programme of careers education and guidance which includes a work experience placement.
Students in St. Andrew's Sixth Form choose from a comprehensive range of Advanced Level or Vocational Courses, supplemented by a programme which includes Religious Education and General Studies/Critical Thinking.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, clubs and programmes.
Our enrichment programme is designed to support our most able students within both the formal and the wider informal curriculum.
Our excellent learning support programmes assists our students with specific learning needs.
